Are you freaking serious? This is incredible. For those of you who have absolutely no clue what the title of this article is referencing, allow me to give you a small hint. OS means Operating System. Operating systems are simply the means, platform, interface and medium in which you interact with your computer hardware on a daily basis. Without an OS you would simply have a box full of hardware that you would have no clue how to operate.
Granted, eyeOS isn’t anything too spectacular in the development realm. Its simply another great web application, however, as I said a great web application! You create an account, I recommend a free account for starters and you’re off on your way to having another virtual computer accessible via the internet.
Many users are familar with virtualpc, fluxboxes, vmware etc, eyeOS is similar. You are basically just executing a web application that appears to operate just as your normal operating system. I think the concept is great and could really go along way if the development team gets the donations and funds it deserves for such a project. Seeing eyeOS go mainstream as an actual operating system is very far into the future. (probably will never happen)
Personally, I have no hopes of this project growing past the point of introductory amazement, seeing it advance. Check it out! If you like the idea, signup for a free account and maybe even throw the developers a bone or two.

4Kinda pointless ;). Not sure I see the need in having an OS on top of an OS…

5I agree, I think its a neat development concept, but its really nothing more than another app… nothing TOO impressive.
