Google introduced personalized homepages not too long ago and people began setting up and customizing their homepage as if they were creating the perfect first born child. But just like any first born child, no matter how ugly they are always beautiful to you. Imagine if you could take the pros and cons of your newly born baby and create the super baby. One who is extremely cute, well behaved, friendly and efficient in the sense of not using more than two diapers a day.On the topic of personalizing your homepage a.k.a. baby, you can! Netvibes.com, another personalized homepage service has grown increasingly popular amongst internet users. Allowing users to have more control over the modules, feeds and content they wish to see.
Having the ability to control everything from font-sizes to pages upon pages of information is something I personally find incredible. I now am able to squeeze what used to take three google tabs onto a single netvibes tab. Having all of my friends feeds readily available for me to read upon visiting my homepage makes me smile every day; huge!

First, visit netvibes.com and immediately sign up for an account. Although you do not have to signup and login to customize your homepage, I recommend it. If you do not register an account than your account settings and information you desire to appear will not show up whenever you change computers. However, if you register and login, no matter where you are, what you’re doing or what time of day you will always have your personalized content available.

I would love to see netvibes become the most popular feed reader amongst my visitors. In order to achieve that goal, I am going to have to forcefully ask everyone to add my feed to their netvibes account. To do this, oh its ever so simple. To begin, just click on Add a Feed in the left column module menu.

Once the pretty ajax popup appears asking you to Enter a URL type in http://feeds.feedburner.com/justinshattuck/. This will add my articles feed to your new beautiful netvibes personal homepage so you can read my articles without ever really visiting my website. Now go add all of your friends feeds, websites you read, games email etc.
Its worth the ten minutes you will spending configuring everything the way you like it — I promise!

3[...] Now really, I’m not that stupid… I’m not clicking around randomly but I really can’t seem to find out how to delete the tab from my homepage. I may just decide I should give up and then proceed to shoved steroids down my homepages’ throat and switch over to Netvibes. [...]
