I have neglected to make any posts on my website in relation to my personal life; lately. In fact, I think I have pretty much decided to leave my personal life off this blog entirely. Not because I don’t think my visitors are interested, but because I feel that my personal life is not a topic that should be discussed too often.
However, this event made me extremely happy and I want to share it. Let the good times roll..
Saturday morning I was approached to eat breakfast at Mimi’s cafe, located on 71st near Memorial. It has been open for quite some time, yet I have only visited the establishment a few times in the past. I actually enjoy their wide array of food available on their menu. The portions are perfectly sized and always tasty! Bobbi and I decided to order our meals with a Hibiscus(sp?) which was champaigne and cranberry juice.
Upon measuring our drinking out to our standard (3 parts champaigne towards 1 part juice, versus the typical amounts 1 part champaigne / 3 parts juice) we ate and drank ourselves until we were merry. We spent around a hour and a half just hanging out, eating and sharing silly stories.
Once we were finished Bobbi decided that we should do something fun. Fun is always the point, but she was making it clear to me that on this day, this very Saturday she wanted to have alot of fun with me. She wanted to get away actually. She told me, “we need to go some place semi-close but still fun.” We debating a few near by locations and decided upon Oklahoma City.
We filled up the Yukon and started on our journey to Oklahoma City. During the drive we snapped photographs and enjoyed ourselves with music and stories. We spend alot of time talking, sharing stories of past and present. We don’t talk too much about the future, which I think is nice. I really enjoy most of the conversations we share and for the ones I don’t, it isn’t because I am not too interested, its just they’re different I guess.
Once we arrived in Oklahoma City, we found ourselves at the Oklahoma State Capitol Building, taking photographs. We were planning on having fun during that day and take photos of whatever we did. But we decided to get crazy and jump around and be absolutely ridiculous. Bobbi is an extremely photogenic individual and she honestly loves to have her picture taken. She was having a hard time jumping, which I couldn’t believe. I, Justin, had to demonstrate how to jump off a ledge to get some air in the photo. It was hilarious!
I uploaded numerous photographs to Flickr so you can check them out. All in all the day was great. We continued to hang out in the city for a while and visited Coach’s Bar/Grill and snacked on some fries and wings and drank a few beers. After that we mingled around and decided to come back to Tulsa. The day was great, couldn’t have hoped it would go any different for such a spontaneous adventure.

1You’re right, no one cares about your personal life :| Case in point, I’m the first comment.
Its okay though, I still like you. And as for Bobbi, well, she’s definitely cute, and TBH the only reason I read this post is because you had 800 pictures of her in your flickr feed up top :|
