Interesting facts, business tips and personal life news; sounds pretty enticing right? That is exactly the types of content and you will find at Jay Profiet’s newly launched blog. Jay is a young entrepreneur who has decided to mingle amongst the blog-o-sphere and deliver his take on the business world.
A brand new blog of a young entrepreneur trying to make it in the business world. Along with insight into his own life he gives out tips that he learns while working his way through the business world, on how to improve your website, advertising, affiliate programs and many other things.
Upon visiting the aforementioned website, I was immediately displeased because of the three ad blocks that appeared within the first fold of my web browser. Jay has positioned a horizontal Adsense advertisement after his first three blog post titles. The advertisements not only have horrible contrasting backgrounds but just seem to be annoying. I am not sure if Jay has had great success with the Click through rate of these advertisement units in question, but I feel as though they should go.. now!
As for the overall layout, Jay seems to have a little something going for himself. I enjoy the dark colored background with the vibrant green header bar, as well as the navigation links. However, I feel as though the architecture of his website is a little off. I attempted to write how this is not Jay’s mistake; although thinking about it, it is. It is his website, and he chose the theme.
The content is lacking what I would consider, substance. Content lacking content? Let’s just say it needs more, well, words. To put it kindly, Jay you have something going — not sure what direction you’re headed yet. But I definitely wish you the best on your upcoming ventures and I will be paying attention to your website to track your progress and hate messages you say about me from posting this review.
Once again, good luck!

1Justin - while this review is kind of “harsh” I find it hard to disagree with you on any point you have made. When I visit Jay’s site, I get the impression that he is fishing for profit, more than he is trying to provide truly useful and meaningful content. Sure, making some extra dough while blogging, and turning a profit from things one does in their spare time isn’t undesirable. However, when these goals are made out to be, inadvertently or not, primary goals the result is bound to not be a very good one.
I wish all the luck in the world to Jay in his endeavors. Hopefully he can get his priorities straightened out and come up with some original ideas, or expand on existing ones.

2Sometimes you just need to get all the revenue you can! Especially if Jay is just starting out.
