I happen to be neither colorblind nor vision impaired, however that does not reduce the strain that reading poor contrasting text creates. I also do not use a screen-reader and shouldn't have to just because of color choice. Contrast helps both color blind users and those without 100% eyesight.

I do find snap relatively useful however if not used in excess (example if a page has like 99 snap, i feel like shooting myself in the head). you can also turn snap off for each specific website i believe.
