If you are a designer you especially understand the amount of time spent slicing designs into XHTML and CSS compliant code. However, it seems as though this task has become a growing trend in online services. Below is a list of XHTML/CSS design slicing groups who promise to have your design sliced into XHTML, CSS based compliant standard code within days. Some range from $80.00 to $1000.00 in as little as one day to one week!
Personally, this is crazy — but I can appreciate the effort..
I have no experience or testimonials for the websites listed above. It is simply a list of the ever-growing, super popular slicing companies out there. If you have any additions or feedback/reviews for the companies listed above, let us know!

1Justin,
We’ve used http://www.psd2html.com/ and the service and speed were good. I would not always use them as a solution but we needed to do two things. One was to get a site out the door fast and this helped us with the rush work. The second thing was to see if it worked so we could let off some extra work in the future if we were too busy. Again, this worked.

2David,
Hey man, shoot me an email with the work they did for you. I would love to have a glimpse at their markup and such. Let me know if you can provide the example.

3Justin,
I used to do freelance web design and I was crazy enough to build sites from the ground up all by my lonesome. Front end, back end, client relations, etc - I did it all. It didn’t take too long to realize what I liked and didn’t like and what I was best at. I started Aloe Studios earlier this year (thanks for putting me on your list), and have enjoyed making the switch to xhtml/css specialization.
There are a lot of companies popping up who are offering a similar service, but I think it’s only a reflection of the demand for the service. I’ve spoke with some of the folks from the companies on your list, and most have expressed that that business is healthy if not crazy. I have a 9-5 day job, so Aloe is “half time” and I’m happy with my small list of great clients with semi-steady work.
I’ve found that building a personal connection is important, so I prefer to speak with my clients directly (well, on the phone at least) early on in the relationship. I used to find that dealing with clients was quite challenging because I couldn’t always talk geek-speak with them. But when speaking and working directly with other designers and developers, it’s a lot easier.
I don’t want to steal your thunder, but I put up a similar list a few weeks ago which I plan to keep maintained (feel free to beef up your list accordingly!)
thanks, Andy

4Justin,
Yes, this trend is becoming pretty much mainstream- we’re a bunch of designers who moved from print to online and from design to code- we realized soon enough that designers , regardless of the media, need to concentrate on design and let a studio set-up handle the execution to save time and keep the design juices flowing- so much so that we launched our own service.
Of course there are quite a numbers of such services, but it takes just a month or two to weed out the also ran. We’ve had a couple of clients within the last few months and we’re only looking forward to expanding our services.

5Hi Justin,
thank you for your great site and for listing markup services.
We’ve launched our own service. You can check it on http://markup4u.com
Our key policy is quality and speed. We deliver only top notch markup.
By default the markup is compatible with all major browsers, W3C valid XHTML/CSS and is SEO optimized. The delivery time is incredible - 8 working hours.
If needed we can deliver the markup on weekends as well.
For those who prefer to edit their code in Dreamweaver’s preview mode we have the solution which does not affect the browser compatibility at all.
You are always welcome to visit markup4U.com
Thanks,
Markup4U Team.

6Hi all,
We have just launched this website and our work is cross-browser (IE6, IE7, Safari, Opera, Firefox, etc.), cross-platform (Windows, Mac) and cross-media (print, Handhelds, Cell phones, Screen readers, Braille, Aural, etc.)compatible.
We do PSD design conversion to XHTML/CSS website. Coding is SEO semantic, Tableless, CSS-based, hand-coded.

7Thanks for mentioning my service. It’s relatively stress free to simply convert a graphic to XHTML/CSS. I enjoy a bit of that work which is why I hung up a shingle.

8Hi Justin -
Great list - I’m sure all those guys do great work. Tough to beat the extra touch a real person can give. But for the folks who just need a really good start (or even the folks listed above), http://psd2cssonline.com works really well. It’s not the personal human touch, but it works, is fast (takes seconds) and is free. It’s a great place to start. Thanks.

9Great list you have here.
Although it’s nice to compare all the services in one page,
however it’s extremely difficult to find a reliable, hard working and fast xhtml coding service. We believe that we found one of best Psdslicing. They deliver on time and do quality work.
