First, this seems to be one of those audio applications that has a ton of potential, however, it will more than likely be gone within a very short amount of time. For those of you who do now know, Last.fm is an online application that allows you to listen to music via a personalized web stream. The music you listen to is a playlist generated from your current preferred flavor of music.

Confusing title huh? I know I was confusing myself just writing it out, however it seems as though all the confusion witnessed within that title, is the same confusion I am experiencing today. Unfortunately my confusion is turning into frustrated in terms of finding a new way to save a few bucks on my automobile insurance.

Allow me to break it down

For the past seven years, I have been a satisfied and loyal customer to Allstate insurance. However, it seems as though they are not exactly keen on keeping my pocket book satisfied and my payments loyal; therefore I have found myself on the constant search for new insurance. The hunt for reliable and affordable car insurance reminds me of the battle against good and evil.

The good providers are all over-charging for their services based on this point system: credit score, traffic record, citations, accident reports, and association with particular organizations. On the flip-side, evil, less good, and mediocre insurance providers are stepping up with their offerings of coverage at an affordable rate — with an overall sacrifice in the quality of protection.

That’s right, today is the day! I’ve kept this baby under the hat for quite some time and today I am finally launching! I will be giving individuals rides to anywhere they want to visit in North America! I even pay for half the gas! You can find all the details and information over on the summerrideshare.com website. I have a live video streaming to the internet from the vehicle as well as GPS tracking. Doesn’t get much better eh?

Anyways, tell everyone you know, show some support and link love. I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm and efforts to help my project be a success!

My site will be “updateless” for the next month..

As a resident of Oklahoma, our state turning 100 years was a big deal. We celebrated for a week; if not longer. In order to properly align our states goals, missions and objectives with those of our current present day time, the website 100IdeasOK.org website was established. Although there are some great ideas posted on the website, OkieDoke launched an alternative, Okie100.org. I’m personally a big fan of it. Give it a visit and post anything you find useful. I’ll be keeping my eyes open!

The internet is at no shortage of hosting providers. Everyday multiple hosts seem to pop-up on the world’s connected community and attempt to target a specific niche of customers. Personally, I believe that most of the hosts have zero goals, zero ability to gain user attention and specifically zero support. However, a company that has started with a great level of support, a wonderful niche and great services is buyhttp.com. They offer reseller hosting accounts which would allow you, a single user the ability to resell services to your friends and clients.

As a developer and a designer, I’m constantly asked, “what do I do about hosting?” Often, I inform my clients that I can host them myself, but I am unable to offer the level of support that many of them require and rely upon. This is where buyhttp.com really comes to mind! They’re able to provide support services to help you install, configure and manage mambo, wordpress and other open-source software platforms. In fact, they specialize in users of the open source community.

BuyHTTPIf you are looking for Joomla, Wordpress, Ecommerce, Managed CMD, semi-dedicated or fully-dedicated hosting solutions, buyhttp.com has what you need. Check ‘em out. Sign up for a reseller account, worst case — you have fully redundant, stable and affordable hosting that you could possibly make a little profit from.. what have you got to lose?

Feeling lucky, winning a prize or being given something grand is a feeling often not experienced by most people. Unfortunately, the odds are always against you in winning anything that has multiple individuals seeking, however, with whogets.com at least you have a fair chance. The online sweepstakes website was setup to give their users their opportunity to win a special prize, ranging from $10.00USD to $600.00USD.

Lorelle wrote an article referencing OneDayBlogSilence.com, a website devoted to silencing the blogosphere on April 30, 2007. This day of silence, however, posting a single image with no words and no comments is to pay tribute to those injured and killed in the masacre that happened yesterday at Virginia Tech.

Personally, I feel as though paying tribute in silence is not the best of methods, however, Lorelle supported it. I am curious what everyone’s opinions on this matter is.. what do you think?

What are you opinions?

A large number of bloggers and individuals I know trying to make money on the internet, own multiple domain names. Many of these names are currently parked on their registrars hosting platforms sitting there making no revenue. Actually, they are making revenue, just not in their owners pockets! Did you know that most registrars allow you to park your domain name free, because they create landing page with adsense ads or other forms of monetization? This allows them to make up the money it costs (pennies a month) for them to park your domain.

Put these to work! Setup your own landing page with keywords surrounding the topic of the website you originally purchase the domain for and throw a few adsense blocks in there. Remember to make it look professional, not like a splog please. However, there is nothing wrong setting up a nice landing page that could make you money instead of the registrar. There is absolutely nothing wrong with setting up a page devoted to a little content related to the domain and some adsense to bring in a little extra cash-flow.

I’m at a loss for words, this thing is simply bad ass. Way to go Adobe!

If you are a designer you especially understand the amount of time spent slicing designs into XHTML and CSS compliant code. However, it seems as though this task has become a growing trend in online services. Below is a list of XHTML/CSS design slicing groups who promise to have your design sliced into XHTML, CSS based compliant standard code within days. Some range from $80.00 to $1000.00 in as little as one day to one week!
