First, this seems to be one of those audio applications that has a ton of potential, however, it will more than likely be gone within a very short amount of time. For those of you who do now know, Last.fm is an online application that allows you to listen to music via a personalized web stream. The music you listen to is a playlist generated from your current preferred flavor of music.

That’s right, today is the day! I’ve kept this baby under the hat for quite some time and today I am finally launching! I will be giving individuals rides to anywhere they want to visit in North America! I even pay for half the gas! You can find all the details and information over on the summerrideshare.com website. I have a live video streaming to the internet from the vehicle as well as GPS tracking. Doesn’t get much better eh?

Anyways, tell everyone you know, show some support and link love. I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm and efforts to help my project be a success!

My site will be “updateless” for the next month..

As a resident of Oklahoma, our state turning 100 years was a big deal. We celebrated for a week; if not longer. In order to properly align our states goals, missions and objectives with those of our current present day time, the website 100IdeasOK.org website was established. Although there are some great ideas posted on the website, OkieDoke launched an alternative, Okie100.org. I’m personally a big fan of it. Give it a visit and post anything you find useful. I’ll be keeping my eyes open!

Wednesday, May 30, seemed to be another ordinary day here on the blogosphere, at least in my world. However, it seems Tulsa’s very own KOTV, a local CBS affiliate on local channel 6 decided otherwise. A story posted on their website about a lightning strike in Oklahoma City at a petroleum refinery caused oil prices later that day to spark upwards more than forty cents!

Here is an excerpt from the CNET article:

At 10:14 EDT, CBS affiliate KOTV reported that a lightning strike had caused a fire at an Oklahoma refinery–sparking a flurry of excitement among energy traders and boosting U.S. crude prices 40 cents.

Personally, my history with KOTV has not been the best. They have made a few major reporting claims that were inaccurate, but hey they’re the press and I respect them for their efforts. Regardless of who makes an error, a simple mis-communication or typo can cause misfortune and repercussions for more people than you might realize. Guess it just goes to show, add another tally to reason, but good research and investigation pays off in the end.

Lorelle wrote an article referencing OneDayBlogSilence.com, a website devoted to silencing the blogosphere on April 30, 2007. This day of silence, however, posting a single image with no words and no comments is to pay tribute to those injured and killed in the masacre that happened yesterday at Virginia Tech.

Personally, I feel as though paying tribute in silence is not the best of methods, however, Lorelle supported it. I am curious what everyone’s opinions on this matter is.. what do you think?

What are you opinions?

I’m at a loss for words, this thing is simply bad ass. Way to go Adobe!

If you are a designer you especially understand the amount of time spent slicing designs into XHTML and CSS compliant code. However, it seems as though this task has become a growing trend in online services. Below is a list of XHTML/CSS design slicing groups who promise to have your design sliced into XHTML, CSS based compliant standard code within days. Some range from $80.00 to $1000.00 in as little as one day to one week!

I was recently introduced to MyMint financial software, that is currently seeking individuals interested in their beta version. Personally, I’m not a big fan of financial managers because I haven’t really found one that suits me well. My financial situation is crazy and I rarely have time to log all my recent transactions into an insecure piece of software. However, I am really intrigued by this new MyMint concept, not to be confused with Mint web statistics by Shaun Inman.

When you sign up for beta access you’re asked to complete a survey, if you would be interested in receiving an invitation to their beta program faster than normal, I guess. Done! I am talking about your software and I haven’t even seen it. However, I know this is just a method to get free publicity and it works.

Mint | Free, Simple Personal Finance Software

That is the image they asked me to post so I did. Now you see it, in a week or so if I don’t have an invitation, maybe you won’t. Not sure, depends on my mood. But I am really interested in checking out their software, pen-testing the shit out of it and hopefully breaking something.. if they invite me.

If you’re already using it, tell me how it is!!

Give me money!
